These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Hush, operated by Batalabs ("we", "our", or "us"). By downloading or using Hush, you agree to these Terms.

1. The service

Hush is a free iOS application that helps you block spam phone calls using a community-powered database of known spam numbers. The service includes:

• A downloadable blocklist that integrates with iOS CallKit to block spam calls
• The ability to report phone numbers as spam
• Regular updates to the blocklist from multiple data sources

2. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Submit false or misleading spam reports to intentionally block legitimate numbers
• Attempt to abuse, overload, or interfere with our servers or API
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract our source code or database
• Use automated tools to submit spam reports in bulk
• Use the service for any unlawful purpose

3. No guarantee of accuracy

Hush's blocklist is community-powered and aggregated from third-party sources. We do not guarantee that:

• All spam numbers are included in the blocklist
• All numbers on the blocklist are actually spam
• The service will block every spam call you receive

4. Disclaimer of warranties

Hush is provided "as is" and "as available" without any warranties of any kind, express or implied. We disclaim all warranties including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or completely effective at blocking spam calls.

5. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Batalabs and its team members shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of Hush, including but not limited to missed calls, blocked legitimate calls, or loss of business. Our total liability to you for any claims shall not exceed $10 USD.

6. Intellectual property

The Hush app, name, logo, and website are owned by Batalabs. The underlying blocklist data is aggregated from public sources (FTC data, open-source lists) and community contributions. You may not reproduce or redistribute the blocklist data without our written permission.

7. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the service at any time if we believe you have violated these Terms. You may stop using the service at any time by deleting the app.

8. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be noted with an updated date. Continued use of Hush after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

9. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to conflict of law provisions. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of San Francisco County, California.
